The Music Therapy Center of Houston is a 501(c)3 non-profit center that educates the community about music therapy through community outreach and in-services as well as works to match board certified music therapists with families and clients throughout the Houston and greater surrounding areas.

What is Music Therapy?

The American Association of Music Therapy defines music therapy as “an established healthcare profession that uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals of all ages. Music therapy improves the quality of life for persons who are well and meets the needs of children and adults with disabilities or illnesses.”
